This is the mobile version of Yahoo Mail. Sometimes it works even when http://mail.yahoo.com/ doesn't work.
Details: When Yahoo mail is down, you need an alternative way to get to your mail. It's frustrating when Yahoo Mail doesn't work, but it seems like all mail services have problems sometimes. Yahoo uses a lot of mail servers, so even when there's a problem with one, another might work. When the main way to get to Yahoo Mail is broken, some other, alternative (alternate) way could still be open. I just tried this and it work. 'Hope it helps you too.
